An interview with Stacy Sinner

Stacy Sinner is a retired jail administrator from Olmsted County, Minnesota, who now consults with public safety and corrections agencies in inmate management, executive coaching, capacity building, and other areas.

Here, Connie Clem interviews Ms. Sinner in a conversation that covers key principles in inmate management and culture change in correctional agencies. Sinner describes her work in Strategic Inmate Management, a recent initiative from the National Institute of Corrections (NIC), and describes its evolution from a base in direct supervision and inmate behavior management principles. Stacy also discusses culture change in correctional agencies and the approach taken by consultant teams engaged by NIC. The interview was recorded on February 7, 2019.
